OBJECTIVES
Acquiring deep knowledge about the GSM & UMTS Radio Access (GERAN/UTRAN) and Core Network. After a traffic source characterization (client signals), the course gives a complete vision of the entire set of technologies used in by Air Interface, network elements, transport equipment and Core Network procedures in different GSM implementations and UMTS Releases. Moreover, call establishment procedures are described in CS and PS mode. Finally, the QoS policies and the management and maintenance functions are discussed.
